HONOURING THE MEMORY OF THE LATE HELENA CHAIT

Merseyside Jewish Community Care wishes to pay tribute to Helena Chait.  No words can adequately describe the dedicated service Helena gave to our welfare organisation and indeed to our clients. Her contributions to us over many years were immense as both our Kitchen Assistant and Shomer.  Although her role was primarily in the kitchen she was always concerned about the care and wellbeing of clients at the MJCC lunch and activity clubs for seniors and they enjoyed her company. She was always available to help at MJCC’s Yom Tov celebrations at Rex Cohen Court and at MJCC’s monthly Wednesday Lunch Circle based at Allerton Shul.  

In honour of Helena’s memory MJCC is raising funds to maintain the kitchen, where she was very much an integral part.   The kitchen provides thousands of Kosher meals each year for the most vulnerable.  In 2013 the kitchen was fully refurbished and is now 8 years old.  This is a commercial kitchen with large appliances such as fridges, freezers and ovens which require annual maintenance. At times kitchen appliances are worn out and unable to be repaired so they have to be replaced.  We are seeking your help to maintain the kitchen and continue to provide this valuable service.


MJCC has a match funder for donations made in honour of Helena. Donations made in her memory will be restricted and only used for maintaining the kitchen. (When donating please use the Reference: HELENA)
